Marvin Lynn Ahlberg

Marvin Lynn Ahlberg was born August 20, 1938, in Georgetown Texas to Marvin Leeroy and Claira Peters Ahlberg. He spent his childhood in San Antonio graduating from Burbank High School before joining the Navy where he served 6 years with the 6th fleet on the USS Davis. He married Barbara Puckett on 9/4/1971 and they lived in Houston where he served as a Title Examiner. He attended Westminster United Methodist Church where for many years he taught Senior Bible Class, served as Chairman of the Trustees, and volunteered in many church ministries and activities. With his outgoing personality, he had the unique ability to become friends with everyone he met. Marvin loved his church, friends, and family. He is survived by his sister and brother-in-law, Phyllis A. and Joe Sparks of Arlington, Nephew Jeff Sparks and his wife Kim and daughter Meghan Adele; Niece Amy Walker and her husband Randy and daughter Ashlyn and son Austin, and several cousins around the state. He will be interred at the Dallas Fort Worth National Cemetery, date pending.
