Marvin Leslie Simon of Houston, Texas passed away at his home November 10, 2010. He was born September 18, 1923 in Hempstead, Texas to Barnett Simon and Bertha Davis. After graduating from Hempstead High School, he served his country in the European theater during World War II as a member of the Army Air Corps. When Marvin returned to Houston, he embarked on long and satisfying career as a display designer at Meyer Bros., Foley’s and T.J.Maxx. In retirement, he loved volunteering at Memorial Hermann Southwest Hospital.
He is survived by his sister Bessie Leventhal, his nephews and their wives, David and Johanna Gibson, Harlan and Shirley Gibson, Ralph and Georgia Levinthal, Lynn and Judy Levinthal and twelve great-nieces and nephews, their spouses, their families and his beloved dog, T.J.
Funeral and interment at Emanuel Memorial Park Cemetery, 8341 Bissonnet, Houston, Texas on Friday, November 12, 2010 at 10:30 a.m.
