Mary Cecile Johnson

Mary Ghiselli Johnson, age 86, passed away May 2, 2013 in Bellaire, TX. She was born to the late Louis and Gladys Ghiselli on October 23, 1926 in Galveston, TX. In 1944, she graduated from Dominican High School. She loved to entertain her family and friends at Christmas and all the holidays and week-ends. Mary was a charter member of the Mother of Twins Club of Houston and member of Bellaire’s Community Grandmothers Club. Mary was an active parishioner of Holy Ghost Catholic Church for almost 60 years. She was also a member of the Alter Society of Holy Ghost Church, the Theresiann’s, and of the Catholic Daughters of America. Mary was a Den Mother of the Cub Scouts for many years. She enjoyed traveling, going to Las Vegas, Canada, Maine, New York, Boston, and loved to go on cruise ships.

She is survived by her husband of over 62 years, Paul E. Johnson, Jr.; sons and their spouses, Edwin and Melissa, Dale and Carol, and Robert and Lauren; sister-in-law, Phyllis Tindall; grandchildren, Thad, Jennifer, Kelli, Christopher, Kelsey, Nicole and Erin; great-grandchildren, Isabella, Katie, Rylee, Alexa, Delaney and Sean; nephews, Danny and Mike.

Memorial Service will be held at 1:00 p.m., Friday, May 10, 2013 at Earthman Bellaire Funeral Home.
