Michael Mustachia

Mike graduated from St. Thomas High School and the University of Houston. He was a licensed pharmacist for more than 40 years.

Mike was strong in his faith. He was a long time member of St. Francis de Sales Catholic Church and in later years a parishioner at Holy Ghost Catholic Church. At the age of 45 Mike made a lifestyle change. He ran numerous fun runs and marathons, including the New York City Marathon twice and many Houston Marathons. For many years Mike enjoyed listening and learning from other radio operators. He eventually became a licensed amateur radio operator. He enjoyed reading and following University of Houston football.

Mike was preceded in death by his parents, Blaise “Bennie” and Josephine Evelyn Smith Mustachia. He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Dolores Mustachia; daughter Angela Mabe and her husband, Keith; son, Greg Mustachia and his wife, Carrie; Grandchildren Kyle Mabe, Megan Mabe, Weston Mustachia, and Elly Mustachia.

Mass of Christian Burial will be at Holy Ghost Catholic Church, 6921 Chetwood Drive, Houston, TX 77081, at 10 a.m., Tuesday, January 3, 2023. A rosary will precede the mass at 9:30 a.m., with interment will follow at Forest Park Lawndale.
