Nancy Sue Pate Robertson

Nancy Sue Robertson, 97, went home to be with her Lord on October 18, 2026. She was born on January 31, 1929 in El Dorado, Arkansas, to Charley and Mertie Pate. Nancy was preceded in death by her parents, brother J. Coy Pate, and her beloved husband Paul Ray Robertson.

Nancy graduated from the University of Texas in 1952 with a degree in Business Administration. After graduation, she went to work for Continental Oil Company, later named Conoco, and remained there for 32 years.

In November, 1972 she married Paul Ray Robertson, an attorney. They were married just under 40 years. After retiring from Conoco, she went to work in her husband’s law office and remained there until his retirement in 2000.

Nancy loved to travel. During her younger years, she took many wonderful trips both abroad and in the United States.

In recent years, she endured declining health. Her niece, Stephanie Stephenson of Raleigh, NC and her friend, Paul Nunu of Pasadena, TX, would like to thank the fantastic doctors and nurses who cared for her at Houston Methodist Hospital, the compassionate nurses at Houston Hospice, and her longtime caregivers – Brenda, Deloris, Madlyn, and Crystal. Nancy’s caregivers loved her sense of humor, quick wit, and many words of wisdom imparted over the past 4 years. Nancy was loved by all who knew her and her presence on this earth will be greatly missed.

A Committal Service will be held at Houston National Cemetery, 10410 Veterans Memorial Dr, Houston, TX 77038, US, on October 22, 2026, at 11:00 am.
