Nathalie Johnson Sweeney

Nathalie Johnson Sweeney, age 92, passed away Monday, April 12, 2010. She was born June 17, 1917, in Clanton, Alabama, the oldest of four children born to Connie Beauford Johnson and Mamie Jones Johnson.

Nathalie was a 50-year member of South Side Baptist Church in Pine Bluff, Arkansas, and current member of Westbury Baptist Church in Houston, Texas. She was a member of Pines Chapter #517, Grand Chapter of Arkansas, OES and a dual member of Bluebell Chapter #856, Grand Chapter of Texas, OES.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Morris Sweeney; daughter, Ann Reinhart; brothers, C.B. Johnson, Jr. and Donald Ray Johnson.

Nathalie is survived by her daughter, Martha Sanderson and her husband Sandy of Houston, Texas; sister, Mary Ellen Dykes of Mobile, Alabama; 7 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren, and 3 great-great grandchildren.

A Funeral Service will be held at 2:00 PM, Wednesday, April 14, 2010, at Earthman Bellaire Funeral Home, 6700 Ferris, Bellaire, TX, 77401. The Graveside Service will be at 11:00 AM, Saturday, April 17, 2010 at Graceland Cemetery in Pine Bluff, Arkansas.
