Neil was my first boss after I graduated from college in 1981. I learned a lot about software design from Neil, but what I remember most was just what a good and decent man he was. Neil, thanks for being my first mentor, and to his lovely wife, I give my heartfelt condolences. Neil, I so wish you had not left the world now, what the world needs more than anything, is good and decent men. And with you gone, there is now one less. RIP, Neil.

Rich and I were so sorry to hear of Neil's passing. I remember the last time we all got together and had a meal. We missed you at all the events and are so sad that we'll not get the four of us together again. Stay strong and stay well. We're thinking of you.

I am so sad to hear that Neil has left us.. He was such a good person. I worked with him on many projects, as I was the Purchasing Manager ( Suzanne Mooney) for BNR, Richardson. He certainly left his mark on the world and on all those who worked with him!

Cris, I was so saddened to hear of Neil's passing. I enjoyed the times we were all together at various cons and other places over the years, but regretfully none recently. I could instantly recall his infectious smile and laughter, even though it's been many years since I enjoyed in person. I'm going to hunt down his zines, just to reflect on what we have all lost. But his spirit will live on, through the memories of everyone that knew him and his gentle ways. I wish you all the best through these trying times. Your Chicago via New Zealand friend, Nigel Rowe.
