Pat’s mother was Roma D. Adam Maxwell, a WWII London war bride and his father was Fred A. Maxwell. Fred owned his own commercial plumbing business, and Pat grew up working by his father’s side. After graduating from Bellaire High School, Patrick joined the Navy. When his service was complete he worked as a plumber, electrician’s helper and marine piping draftsman. He owned his own excavation business and used his skills in home and auto repair, roofing, welding and carpentry. He loved to tinker with all things mechanical. He was a devoted pet owner, having effected more than one freeway rescue, providing the strays he adopted with lifelong care and friendship. He loved the water and designed and built boats, served as a Boy Scout counselor, raised a treasured son, Frank, and was a constant support to his beloved wife Susan.
Patrick was predeceased by his parents, and is survived by his wife Susan, his son Frank and his two sisters, Diane Gardner and Pamela Long. His family and friends appreciated his many skills, loved him very much, and wish him Godspeed.
A memorial service will be held at 11:30 am, Friday, May 5, 2017 at Woodforest Presbyterian Church, 15330 Wallisville Rd., Houston, TX 77049 (713-453-7314)
