

Rosemary Blackburn Clowe passed away peacefully in her home January 9, 2014, surrounded by her children. A resident of West University since 1956, she was born in Corsicana, TX on February 19, 1925 to Rose Lee and Percy Downard Blackburn. She married William A. Clowe Jr. on June 12, 1948 and they had three children.
Rosemary enjoyed being a docent for many years with the Houston Heritage Society. She loved animals, antiques, and sailing on the “Rosemary B” with her husband Bill. One of her biggest joys was entertaining family and friends at her homes in New Mexico and San Saba County, TX. She lived a full life.
She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband and her in-laws (Alfred and Rosalee Clowe). She is survived by her children: Fred Clowe (Carol), Rebecca Palmer (Dave), Amy Bosman (Bill), and by her grandchildren: Susan Vistein (Tony), Victoria Clowe, Paul Bosman (Katie), Kelly Bosman, Allison, Will, and Margaret Palmer. The family wishes to thank her special caregivers: Ebony, Celia, Adelita, Aracely, and Cecilia. The service for Rosemary will be held at 4:00 pm on Monday, January 13, 2014 at West University United Methodist Church, 3611 University Blvd., Houston, TX 77005.
