

Ruth Hawksworth Prim, 90, passed away September 10, 2015 after a long battle with Alzheimer’s. Ruth was a long time resident of Houston where she worked as a RN for many years as well as being a devoted member of The Episcopal Church of the Epiphany and volunteer at Memorial Southwest Hospital. She was a Very Special Mom, a friend and special lady to many and will be missed by us all.
Ruth was preceded in death by her husband’s Bill (Harry) Hawksworth and Edward Prim as well as her parents and five sisters. She is survived by her children Carol Elizondo (Phil); David Hawksworth & Barbara Burdick (Jeff) and grandchildren Eric Elizondo, Teresa Burdick, William Burdick, Anna Hawksworth and Erika Burdick; 3 great grandchildren and her best friend Jackie McCoy. The family would like to say a special thank you to Margaret Magee who was her caregiver and friend during her final years, as well as all her caregivers at Colonial Oaks; Seven Acres and Vitas Hospice.
Visitation will be Friday, Sept 18th from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. at Earthman Bellaire Funeral Home. A reception will be held on Sat. Sept 19th at 1:30, with the funeral service at 2:00 at The Episcopal Church of the Epiphany, 9600 S. Gessner Rd., Houston, TX 77071, interment will be directly following the service at Earthman Resthaven Cemetery.
