Sara Ann "Chutie" Getz , passed away March 27, at her home in Houston after a valiant 11-year fight with Multiple Myeloma and end-stage renal disease. She was a native Houstonian, born in 1930. She is survived by her husband of 61 years, Jerry; children Randy Getz & wife Debra, Ken Getz & partner Peter Mason, Emily Getz McGowan & husband Kevin. She is also survived by her grandchildren Jennifer Getz Murphy & husband Shawn, & Michael Getz. She was preceded in death by her parents, Isadore & Ida Leff, & her sister, Harriet Leff Bishkin. Chutie spent many years working side by side with Jerry, both at Getz Appliance Center & while traveling to buy and sell antiques. Her family would like to express their sincere appreciation to Dr Michael Wang of MD Anderson Hospital, Dr Lary Kupor, staff of DaVita at Home, & especially caregiver Johnnie Lyman. The funeral service will be held Monday March 28 at 3 PM at Emanu El Cemetery, 8341 Bissonnet.
