Shirley Sechler, age 97, of Houston, Texas, passed away on Wednesday, November 16, 2022. She studied art at The Art Students League of New York and was an accomplished artist in calligraphy. Shirley had an extensive library of novels and was a voracious reader. She loved watching funny movies and was always very joyful and happy. Shirley was a devoted, loving wife, mother, and grandmother. Her dedication to her family was her life’s mission, and she always ensured that all were well cared for.
Shirley was preceded in death by her husband of 59 years, Thomas A. Sechler; She is survived by daughter Diana Sechler; sons Bradford Sechler and Charles Sechler; grandchildren Jacqueline Sibley, Madeline Sechler, Jasmine Sechler, Jared Sechler, Sean Sechler, and Rachel Sechler.
A graveside service for Shirley will be held Monday, November 21, 2022, at 11:00 AM at Beth Yeshurun Cemetery, 1037 Post Oak Road, Houston, Texas, 77055.
