Sue was born in Manhattan, KS and attended Mississippi State University where she earned her degree in computer science. She began her professional career in Houston, TX with Texaco in 1977. In 1981, she married her husband Larry and began a 44-year marriage together. In 1982, she earned a master’s degree from the University of Houston for her work in strategic modeling.
Sue was a voracious reader. She was highly skilled in the various needlework disciplines of sewing, crochet, and knitting. She used her knitting talents to make baby blankets and complete outfits for her friends and family. She was also an avid Barbie collector, for which she frequently crocheted intricate clothing for.
Sue’s greatest passions were her love of the Houston Astros and her love of Las Vegas, both of which blossomed in the early years of her marriage. In total, she visited Las Vegas over sixty times, with both she and her husband spending well over a cumulative year actively playing in the casinos on these adventures. In recent years, a series of medical setbacks severely compromised her ability to continue her needlework, but her passion for the Astros and Las Vegas never wavered.
She is predeceased by her father Gene Scott and her mother Mary Lee Klee. She is survived by her husband Larry Lisowski, her brother David Scott, her niece Erin Scott, and her nephew Greg Scott.
Sue’s wish was to be cremated. A memorial celebration will be conducted on August 28, 2025, at 1:00 p.m. at the Earthman Funeral Home, 4525 Bissonnet St, Bellaire, TX 77401 in Bellaire, TX. In lieu of flowers, it is asked that you donate to the American Red Cross.
