Mr. Bailey you were such a great person to visit with and the best part of my day while attending St. Francis de Sales. You were always very supportive and offered me a helping hand when I needed it, such as working with you in the bazaar for volunteer hours, I still keep the thank you letters you wrote to me for the bazaar work and the one you gave me upon my graduation. Thank you for presence, understanding, love, and for making a difference in my life.

You were always the best part of our day when we would visit you during lunch while at SFDS. You could always put a smile on our faces and we will always cherish the time we had with you at SFDS. I hope you knew what a big impact you had on us and the rest of the students.

Mr. Bailey, you will be missed. Now there is another angel in heaven. I will always remember your gentle nature and kindness towards my girls, Veronica, Triana and Izel. You always made them feel special and always had a cookie handy ready to cheer them up when they needed. You were just wonderful and very special to them! Thank you, Thank you for being a part of our lives at SFDS.

Mr. Bailey was so kind and thoughtful. I knew him through St. Francis de Sales School and through the San Jacinto Model Railroaders Club. It was always nice to be greeted by him in the mornings at St. Francis when I had duty in the gym with the students. He was there helping out if I needed him. The children loved Mr. Bailey and he loved them. I remember when he would bring some of his model trains to school so some of the artistic students could decorate them with graffiti, just the real trains. Mr. Bailey was a great guy and will be missed by so many.

My thoughts and prayers to his family.

Mr. Bailey was certainly one of the special ones. In BSA Troop 80, he was known for 2 things, keeping track of everyone’s money at summer camp, and doing dishes. I’ve never known someone that loved cleanup duty like he did. He took great pride in it. Even back in the day when we used CB Radios during our travels, his handle was “wash bucket”. He was an usher at SFDS church and I loved going to 5:30 mass on Saturdays to usher with him. He will be sorely missed and will always hold a special place in our hearts.

Mr. Bailey: kind, sweet, compassionate, caring, loving, generous, faithful, loyal are a few of the many adjectives that come to mind when I think of him. He was also the welcoming face of St Francis de Sales. The community will miss him dearly.

Tom took on the duty of handling the San Jac Club's trainshow tables. We didn't get paid but I helped Tom with his sales tables for several years. We had a pretty good time sharing the duties. Also because we both liked the Milwaukee Road, or maybe beer from Milwaukee, we had a lot in common.
Take care and enjoy your reward, old friend

Mr. Bailey was so much more than help in the cafeteria at St. Francis de Sales School. He was a lifelong learner who modeled working with purpose in all tasks. He cared about each child individually, and they all knew it. On my days as the teacher on cafeteria duty, I knew he was watching for that child who was having a bad day or wasn't eating so that he could give that student a gentle word that would make the day better. His big voice came from a big heart, and he did his work with excellence and love. I am thankful to have known him and grateful so many students could be blessed by his example.

I am a previous Scoutmaster of Troop 80 at St Francis Church. Tom was known as Mr. KP. He always instructed the boys on how to keep their dishes clean so they did not get sick from poorly cleaned dishes.( KP - Kitchen Patrol) He was always there for the boys when needed. All the boys wanted to ride in his van to Summer Camp every year because he brought Doughnuts. Every boy and every adult knew and loved Tom Bailey. God bless him. He will forever have a special place in our hearts.
