My favorite summer memories growing up were playing on Bellaire Off Season Baseball with Coach Duffey during the 2014 and 2015 seasons. I remember catching during games and looking over to the dugout and seeing Coach Duffey sitting in his lawn chair. He would always tell the pitchers to "Have a Purpose!"

Sorry to hear of Tim's passing. What a friendly soul who really loved people. I was a neighbor of his for many years. He truly will be missed by so many people. Godspeed Tim. 🙏. Michael Lacey.

Tim was a dear friend of my brother Jerry and we had the pleasure of playing softball for many years with Tim. He was a great person always ask what he could do. Sorry I missed the funeral I just found out about it. RIP Tim.

Tim was a wonderful friend and person. I have known him over 56 years as he lived across the street from my uncle London's house. Some of the best times of my life were spent with him. He always had a smile and could lift anyone's spirits with his positive attitude. I loved him like a brother and know he will be sorely missed. May he rest in peace.

It's been several years since I talked with Tim. I retired from HCPHES in 2004. I had no idea he was going through an illness. I remember he always had a smile on his face until it was time to use the computer. He needed encouragement with that task off and on. He was always busy with work and baseball with his sons and I was busy with my daughter's baseball games and I was playing softball myself. We talked alot about baseball. He was a very easy person to get to know and become friends with. I knew immediately he was a godly man. It showed in his actions with others. I haven't seen him in some years, but good people one never forgets and he was definitely a good person. He was the type person that will never be forgotten. God Speed Tim....we'll meet again up younder. You will certainly be missed by all who knew you.

I was so shocked to hear of Tim's passing. We worked together at HCPCD for many years. When I became the Wet-lab Coordinator, I wanted to understand the treatment plant process. Tim took me out into the field to show and explain it to me. I always wondered if having me climb a steep ladder and cross a catwalk was part of my initiation. Tim was my favorite field investigator and an expert in his work. I use to chuckle with him that his desk area made my stacked up desk look neat and orderly. Tim, always, had a big smile, kind words and big heart. He will truly be missed but never forgotten.

I was so sad to hear the news about your Dad. I always enjoyed competing against him while he was coaching the Wildcats for all those years. We had some good battles. Great guy, great Dad, big smile. It has been years since I have seen him but I can still see him standing in the coaches box. I hope they have baseball in heaven.

I worked with Tim the last few years before his retirement. We would talk a little shop, but the conversations usually turned to baseball. His passion for the game was evident from the moment I first met him.
We’ll see you again one day buddy, save us a seat on the bench.

My condolences and heart felt prayers are extended to the Duffey family. I worked with Tim at Pollution Control for 20 years. He was always willing to teach and assist any way he could. His smile and jovial laughter would fill a room the instant he entered.

Rest In Peace Tim.

Dear Duffey family, I am so sorry for your loss. For 25 years I had the privilege to know and work with Tim. His knowledge and experience made him an expert in his field. Tim was a valued employee, someone you could always count on in a crunch. Tim truly cared about the Pollution Control mission, his fellow employees and his service to the public. Tim was a big part of the Pollution Control family, his big heart, caring personality and laughter helped to make Pollution Control more than just a work place but the special organization that it is.

So sorry to hear about the passing of Tim. We met Tim through our cousin, Larry, many year ago and had the privilege to be around him on many occasions. Tim loved life, his family and friends. He was always the life of the party and one of the most jovial person we had ever known. So caring and loving. He will truly be missed. Prayers to his beloved family.

I am so very sorry for your loss. Tim was an exceptional guy. We worked together (different Agencies) for years. He was always making sure I didn't go anywhere that was unsafe without someone to accompany me. That was often him. He kept me updated on facilities and we worked together to educate people on environmental issues and protect public health and the environment. I always got a Big, Teddy Bear hug, a smile and we talked about family a lot, and boy did he love his. I also loved his laugh. I always loved seeing and visiting with him. He will surely be missed.

Rest In Peace old friend. I will meet you on the Green and I will brink the cockroach lol.

Aloha nui loa kau hoaaloha.

You did a great job in this life and your kids are the legacy of you and Shanna. We will miss your constant joy and kindness. Please give Shanna a hug from us.

Dear Tyler, Travis and other Duffey family. So sorry for your loss. I worked with Tim at HCPC almost 19 years and retired a few years before he did. As I have read other comments two words describe Tim - Big Hearted !! At HCPC he knew something personal about everyone and was friend to everyone. He will be greatly missed.

Prayers for your family.

Tim was a part of our close HCPCD family. The shock and impact of his death has rocked each of us to the core. He was one of my favorite people there!!! You knew when Tim entered a room - that smile, his laughter, that booming gregarious personality of his. He instantly brought in the light and joy with him. We were hired around the same time, and both retired from Pollution Control, so I had the privilege to know this amazing man for over a couple of decades. He would often plop down in the chair in the front office and we would just talk…about so many things. He made the time to really get to know you, he listened sincerely, and he would open up, and share his own life. He had such a huge heart, genuinely cared about others, and wasn’t ashamed to show it; and boy, did he ever love his family and his boys. Tyler and Travis, he adored you and was so proud of you. He talked about you and bragged about you all the time. I am so sorry for your loss. He made an impact on us all, and he will be missed and remembered. ❤️ Peace be with you all.

Condolences to Tyler and Travis and extended family on their loss. I was truly shocked to hear of Tim's passing. We were co-workers at HCPC for over 20 years and he was the greatest and we had many baseball conversations as both our sons were pitchers. Lean on God during these hard times but Tim will always be in your heart. You will see one another in Heaven❤

I’m proud to call myself Tim Duffey’s brother-in-law. I want to share a love story. This isn’t your typical love story about romance but instead, for Tim Duffey love was a conscious decision. For Tim, his love meant making a commitment that he took seriously. For Tim, true love meant following through, honoring his word, and showing up. I first understood what love meant to Tim as I watched his relationship with my sister, Shanna, unfold. She could always depend on Tim and he made her feel safe. Shanna loved Tim deeply because she understood his character.

Tim Duffey certainly leaves a wonderful love story worth sharing. With that, I want to leave you with an Irish saying: death leaves a heartache no one can heal, love leaves a memory no one can steal.

‘’I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith.”

Rest In Peace my friend

I am so sorry for your loss. I have known Tim since I was 4 - he truly was one of the kindest people I have known. We were close as kids and my heart is broken by his loss and knowing he had a rough time. I will always treasure my last conversation with Tim. I know you are in a better place. You have left me with beautiful childhood memories. May you find all the joy you deserve - you are in life eternal with your family!!!! You will be missed and forever remembered!

Tim- so much love and laughter to give it just spilled out of you! You made everyone better for touching their lives. There is a void in that space of larger than life, but you will always be in my heart. Thank you for being such a wonderful friend.

That Tim - what Joy he brought to life. Having met Tim through my cousin Shelly, he became an instant friend and "family" for life. On the 4th of July once, he brought so many fireworks that I thought we were in a professional fireworks show. He knew how to live and love. How this world and those he knew will miss Tim. I know I do. I am glad he is at peace and with loved ones.

Tyler, Travis, and the Duffey Family: I am so sorry to hear of Tim's passing. He was such a wonderful, full of life person and I will always cherish our friendship. We knew each other for more than 40 years and enjoyed spending time with him when he was at SFA and I worked in Marshall. Lots of great and crazy memories.

You guys had a great Dad and Mom and both are so, so missed.

May you always hold on to your special memories of him and may he Rest In Peace as he is once again reunited with your Mother.

May God Bless all of you.

Take care,

Bellaire Baseball, Cardinal Baseball Booster Club and Bellaire Off Season Baseball offer our deepest Sympathies to the family of our beloved Coach Tim Duffey. Scores of current and former Bellaire Baseball players and their families are forever grateful for the gifts that Coach Duffey gave to them -both on and off the field. We are all better for having had him in our lives

Know that we are keeping the Duffey family and friends in our thoughts and prayers at this difficult time.

Well done, good and faithful servant.

Many people pass through our lives, but few leave such a loving memory as Tim did. From the moment my son walked onto a Bellaire Baseball field, Tim was there. First as an off-season coach and then as a friend, whose companionship extended far beyond baseball. For the Duffey family, may it bring you Peace and Comfort that his memory will forever hold such a special place in the hearts of so many. I know that God and Shanna, have welcomed him home

Eternal rest grant unto him, O Lord, and let perpetual light shine upon him.......
