Tonya Hutchins

She was born on March 16, 1966 to Bonnie Ruth (née Kervin) and Donald Clyde Hutchins.

Tonya graduated from Westbury High School in 1984 and went on to graduate from the University of Texas as a proud Longhorn. She then started a fulfilling career in social work at both TIRR and Texas Children's.

Tonya was predeceased by her parents, siblings, Glenda Pilkerton, Brenda Ross, Donna Hutchins, Barry Hutchins, nephew, Jared Edwards and beloved dog, Barney. She is survived by her loving cats, Shenanigans and Kerfuffle as well as her siblings, Sabrina Ryan and Earl Jones, nieces, Alyssa Majors, Amanda Pilkerton, Megan Ryan and Eula Jones, her devoted friends, Sunil Kothari, Sandra Thompson and Laurie Wells and numerous extended family, friends, clients and coworkers that cared deeply for her.

A private graveside service will be held at Whitehouse Cemetery located at 416 Whitehouse Dr, Lufkin, TX 75901 on Saturday, July 11, 2026 at 11:00 AM. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial donations in her name be made to:
