Dearest Art and Deb,
So sorry to see that your Mother has passed.  We all have such fond memories of spending time with your family.  Vi was an inspiration to me as a nurse. I adored her.  I remember her fondly, as I do your Dad.  It was nice to see that her service was at Epiphany.  Great memories.  Blessings to you all.  Would love to reconnect.

My deepest sympathies go out to you . Losing a loved one is one of the hardest events a person will go through. During this hard time, please keep in mind 2 Thessalonians 2:16,17 which reminds us that God loves us and he will comfort our hearts and make you firm in whatever situation you may need support.

I already miss Aunt Vi.  Over the past several years as she declined in health I sent occasional postcards to cheer her up.  Aunt Vi exemplified similar care towards me throughout my upbringing.  Although she lived far away, Grammy Marjorie told of important work Vi did as a nurse and devotion to her family.  Aunt Vi never wavered in her kindness towards me.

It was always a special pleasure to see my Aunt Vi. Whether it was when I saw her at my grandparents in RI or at her home in Houston, Aunt Vi's humor and distinct laugh made for a fun visit.
   
My wishes for the family during these sad times are that they will soon only remember the wonderful times that they spent with her and be able to smile whenever the natural pangs of loss occur.

 My aunt Vi was an inspiration to me, especially over the last few years.  I enjoyed our phone conversations, and my wife Barbara and I were able to visit in March of this year. 
Vi always gave a straight answer to questions, even if it wasn't always what one "wanted to hear."  Her opinions were straight forward, and her wit was memorable.  She expressed an interest in all her family, and a concern for their welfare.  We will miss her.

My thoughts are with the family in your time of grief. May your memories bring you comfort during these difficult days. Ps. 9:9,10
