

Walter Lynn LeLeux, age 62, of Houston, passed away Friday September 17, 2010 at St. Luke’s Hospital. After a valiant and courageous battle, he succumbed to an unexpected illness. Walter was loved and respected by countless people, whose lives he touched with his diligence, kindness, loyalty and generous spirit. A true “gentle man,” Walter appreciated beauty and harmony. His ability to promote cooperation and instill confidence in others made him a respected administrator in the medical community. With his benevolence, patience and acceptance, Walter guided many who might otherwise have been lost.
Walter was born October 14, 1947, in Port Arthur, Texas to Walter LeLeux and Willie Dell (Thibodeaux) LeLeux. Walter graduated from Bishop Byrne High School and Lamar University with an MBA in accounting. Walter lived and worked in the Houston area thereafter as a medical administrator and businessman. He was a longstanding member and benefactor of the Bellaire Chamber of Commerce.
Walter was predeceased by his parents, and survived by his brothers and sister-in-law, Billy Wayne, Gerald and Penny LeLeux, all of Orangefield; nephew, Jason LeLeux of Vidor, niece, Janet LeLeux of Austin. Also surviving are several cousins and a wealth of extended “family members” and friends.
Friends are invited to visitation with the family from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., with a vigil service beginning at 7:00 p.m., Monday, September 20, 2010, at Earthman Bellaire Funeral Home, 6700 Ferris. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 a.m., Tuesday, September 21, 2010, at St. Michael Catholic Church, 1801 Sage Rd., Houston, TX. Burial will be held Wednesday, September 22, 2010 at Greenlawn Memorial Park in Port Arthur, Texas.
