William Raul Munoz

William R. Munoz passed away on May 20, 2010. Bill is survived by his wife of 56 years Scottie Munoz, daughter Anne Marie Munoz, son Marty Munoz and his wife Karen, daughter Cathy Munoz-Negron and her husband Jorge Negron, son Jeff Munoz and Robin Fredrickson; grandchildren Jessica Garcia, Elena and Benjamin Negron; sister-in-law JoAnn Minter and numerous nieces, nephews, neighbors and friends. He was blessed.

Bill was born on December 1,1920 in El Paso, Texas. During his years in high school and college, Bill was an outstanding athlete and participated in many sports. After proudly serving with the U.S. Army in World War II, he graduated from Loyola University in Los Angeles, California. He retired from Eastern Airlines after 40 years and then became very involved with the Harris County Senior Softball League and played well into his 80's. Bill will be fondly remembered by his family and friends for his sense of humor, and as a person who was always willing to lend a hand when he was needed. We were blessed. A visitation will be held from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. with a Rosary recited at 7:00 p.m., Monday, May 24, 2010 at Earthman Bellaire Funeral Home, 6700 Ferris St. A Funeral Mass will be held 10:30 a.m., Tuesday, May 25, 2010 at Holy Rosary Catholic Church, 3617 Milam St. The Rite of Committal will be at Houston National Cemetery.
