Agnes Patricia Malone, age 77, of Belleville, Illinois went home to be with the Lord on November 5, 2025. She was born on June 4, 1948, in Berwyn, Illinois to Elmer Promnitz and Flora Mathews.
In her early years, Agnes accepted Christ as her Lord and Savior, a commitment that shaped her life and guided her every step. She was also a cheerleader and a model, carrying confidence, grace, and a bright spirit wherever she went. After graduating from high school, she earned a certification as a 911 dispatcher, but her heart for people led her to find purpose in her work at local pharmacies throughout Belleville. There she connected deeply with her community and brought comfort and care to those she served.
As a breast cancer survivor and a woman of unshakable faith, Agnes devoted her life to serving God and uplifting others. Her deep belief in Jesus Christ filled her with a passion for ministry and compassion for every soul she met. One of the most treasured times in her life was the season she spent volunteering at Royal Height Nursing Home, where she led praise and worship and shared God’s Word through Bible Study. During those moments, she touched countless hearts, spreading comfort, joy, and hope to everyone around her.
Beyond her ministry and work. Agnes found joy in life’s simple blessings. She loved playing bingo and cards with family and friends, and she found peace in spending time outdoors surrounded by nature, where she often enjoyed bird watching and reflecting on the beauty of God’s creation.
Among the many ways Agnes expressed her faith, music held a special place in her heart. Hymns such as “Amazing Grace,” “I Have Decided to Follow Jesus,” and “Christ Is My Firm Foundation,” were among her favorites and often filled her home with joy and praise. Her life was firmly rooted in her favorite scripture, “I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me” (Philippians 4:13), a verse that guided her every step and continues to inspire all who were blessed to know and love her.
Agnes was a devoted wife and mother whose life reflected grace, strength, and compassion. While her husband worked long hours, she lovingly cared for their home and children, making sure they were active in church and their community. She taught her family to put God first, to forgive freely, to love deeply, and to find joy in every season of life.
