Alex, better known as “the hammer” by his buddies, worked in the construction field and was a member of Laborer’s Local 459 in Belleville. He earned an Associate’s Degree from Southwestern Illinois College. In his free time, he loved to hunt ducks, geese and deer as well as spending time at the Clubhouse. Alex enjoyed playing the drums, explosives, and karate… all things that made him happiest when sharing all of this with his boys.
He was preceded in death by his father, Dennis J. White; and his grandparents, John and Juanita Klee.
Surviving is his loving wife, Molly A., nee Buck, White; two sons, Jack White and Mitchell White; his parents, Sandy and Roger Lewis; a brother, Sean (Meagan) Lewis; a sister, Morgan (Joey) Teague; his mother-in-law, Corea Buck; and a very special uncle, John (Kitty) Klee; as well as aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Funeral: Services will be held at 10:00 am on Thursday, Dec. 14, 2017 at Valhalla Gaerdner Holten Funeral Home. Interment will be in Valhalla Gardens of Memory.
