Barbara Louise Schempp

Barbara worked in dentistry for 18 years and worked for many local dentists during her career. Later, she opened her own dog grooming shop and worked in that for 18 years. She was a wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother and loved to spend time with her grandchildren.

Barbara married Edward Schempp on July 13, 1957 and together they had two sons, Edward and Jeffery.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Edward, who served 30 years on the Belleville Police Department. Additionally, she was preceded by her parents, Edward Cole and Vivian (nee Dowdall); siblings, Edward Cole, Betty Nicks, William D. Cole and Robert Cole.

Those left to cherish her memory include her long-time companion, Harold Williams; her sons, Edward (Donna) Schempp and Jeffery (Rita) Schempp; grandchildren, Monica, Eddie, Tyler and Joshua; great grandchildren, Cody and Kasyn; brother, Kenneth (Shirley) Cole, Annette Zweifel and Beverly Holten; dear sister- in- law, Lillian Cole; many nieces, nephews and cousins.

Funeral: Services will be held at 10 a.m., Friday, July 6, 2018 at Valhalla Gaerdner Holten Funeral Home. Interment will be held privately in Valhalla Gardens of Memory, Belleville, Illinois.
