Betty Marie Dumstorff, nee Oberdorfer, 88, of Waterloo, Illinois, born March 29, 1930 in Scranton, Pennsylvania, passed away, Tuesday, June 12, 2018, in Mascoutah, Illinois.

Betty was a member of St. Mark Lutheran Church in Belleville, Illinois. She volunteered much time to the American Cancer Society and to the Relay for Life fundraising events. She also enjoyed sewing and needlework. She was an avid gardener and loved orchids. She was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother, who will truly be missed by all who knew her.

She was preceded in death by her parents, John and Mildred, nee Price, Oberdorfer; and a brother-in-law, Jack Cox.

Surviving to cherish her memory are her loving husband, Virgil B. Dumstorff, of Mascoutah, Illinois; her daughter, Deborah Classen, of Belleville, Illinois, Steven Dumstorff, of Belleville, Illinois, and David Dumstorff, of Mascoutah, Illinois; her two grandchildren, Nicole (Tim) Baum and Matthew Classen; a great granddaughter on the way; her two sisters, Lois Cox, of South Williamsport, Pennsylvania and Shirley (Carl) Stiber, of Savannah, Georgia; and many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Visitation: Friends may call from 10 a.m.to 12 noon, Friday, June 15, 2018 at Valhalla Gaerdner Holten Funeral Home, Belleville, Illinois.

Funeral: Services will be held at 12 noon, Friday, June 15, 2018 at the funeral home. Entombment will follow in Valhalla Gardens of Memory, Belleville, Illinois.

Betty & Virgil always sat near us at St. Augustine's Church in Hecker. Betty always had a kind work and a smile. She often commented about our daughter & son-in-law's donkey that she could see from their yard at Justamir Lake. She will be missed.
