Betty Jean Urban

Betty was born January 14, 1937 in Belleville, IL to William and Myrtle (Scharf) Wirth. She married Andrew "Ed" Urban on June 27, 1964; he preceded her in death on January 1, 2021.

She was also preceded in death by her parents; and one grandson, Erik Treloar.

Betty is survived by her loving family, including her son, Andrew (Krista) Urban of Sun Prairie, WI; grandchildren, Drew Urban of Phoenix, AZ, Taylor Martin of Stoughton, WI, and Ashley (Kyle) Cornell of Colorado Springs, CO; great-granddaughter, Wren Cornell; one brother, William B. (Judy) Wirth of Millstadt, IL; niece, Lori (Randy) Voyles of Worden, IL and nephew, Alan (Pam) Wirth of Millstadt, IL.

Betty worked for many years as an office manager for a group of physicians.

She found great joy in caring for the beloved hummingbirds that would visit her home year after year. Watching their graceful flights and beautiful colors brought her peace, and in many ways, she shared those same qualities- bright, gentle and full of life.

Betty enjoyed traveling, especially to New Orleans for festivals, tending to her beautiful flower gardens and watching baseball- especially when her grandson Drew was playing. Her family was her pride and joy.

Betty will be truly missed by all who knew and loved her.

A Celebration of Life memorial service will be held at later date.
