Beverly Ann Meister

Beverly was born August 26, 1953 in Belleville, IL to Robert W. and Geraldine (Morrison) Phillips. They preceded her in death.

She was also preceded in death by her sister, Judy Beussink.

Beverly is survived by her husband, Steve Meister, whom she married on June 29, 1974 at Queen of Peace Catholic Church in Belleville, IL. Together, they had three children, Phil (Stacey) Meister of Belleville, IL, Matt (Kara) Meister of Kirkwood, MO and Amy (Matt) Heet of Lenzburg, IL; grandchildren, Sabrina, Jeremy, Henry, Charlotte, Thomas, Lilly and Jack; siblings, Larry (Kathy) Phillips of Phoenix, AZ and Cindy (Jeff) Hettenhausen of Columbia IL; and brother-in-law, Ed Beussink of Dunedin, FL.

Beverly and Steve enjoyed many family vacations to the lake over the years with their children and grandchildren. Their trips together left lasting memories that they will cherish for years to come.

Beverly worked as a registered nurse at Belleville Memorial Hospital for 45 years. She was devoted to her patients and providing the upmost care for each person she took care of.

Her heart and ability to care for others stemmed far beyond her work at the hospital. She was always caring for her family, friends and anyone in need. Her love for family and everyone she knew will truly be missed.

A memorial visitation for Beverly will be held Saturday, May 23, 2026 from 9:00 A.M.- 11:00 A.M. at St. Augustine’s Catholic Church in Belleville, IL.

A memorial Mass will follow the visitation, at 11:00 A.M. at the church. Final interment will take place at a later date at Valhalla Gardens of Memory Mausoleum in Belleville IL.

Memorial donations may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital or Shriners Hospitals for Children.
