Billie Gail Johnson

She is preceded in death by her parents, Perrin and Virginia (Rogers) Covey and her husband, J.C Henderson Johnson.

Billie is survived by her daughter, Angela Johnson of Fairview Heights, Illinois, her sister Betty Adams of Ripley, MS, her son, Jimmie Reed of St. Louis, MO, numerous sister and brother in laws, numerous nieces and nephews, including Jennifer Johnson, of Ripley, MS, Stephanie Johnson-Simmons, of New Albany, MS, Heather Adams, of Tiplersville, MS, her great niece Victoria Adams of Champaign, IL, and great nephew, Mason Simmons of New Albany, MS, and close friends including Rosalind Perry of Fairview Heights, IL and Marga Jackson of St. Louis, MO.

During her lifetime, Billie was a teacher at East St. Louis School District 189 for 40 years and in her free time enjoyed watching basketball and football games, watching her favorite soap opera, The Young and the Restless, playing games on her I-pad, cooking, shopping, watching Westerns, swimming, playing with her puppy, Zeus, going out to dinner with family and friends.

Per Billie’s wishes, there are no formal services and Rites of Cremation will be accorded.
