Clyde Everett Browning, 84, passed away at home unexpectedly on April 20, 2018.
He was born on November 28, 1933 in Freeburg, IL the son of the late Everett Browning and Mary (Bosick) Land.
He married Pauline Schneider in Summerfield, IL. She preceded him in death in 2001.
Clyde spent his career working as a roofer. He was an avid pool player and fisherman. He was also a member of the O’Fallon sportsman’s club.
He is survived by two sons Clayton (Teresa) Browning of Freeburg and Clyde Browning of Sauget; three daughters Sherrl (Rodger) Lovsey of Georgia, Debbie Browning of Sparta, and Tina Hofmeister of Shiloh; eleven grandchildren Becky, Kayla, Landon, Julie, Rodger, Jimmy, Sherry, Jonathan, Chrissy, Sean, Ian, and Carley; several great grandchildren; one sister Joyce Nelson; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his wife and parents he was preceded in death by two sisters Carol Steed and Shirley Somer.
Visitation will be held from 11 am until time of funeral service at 1 pm on Wednesday April 25, 2018 at Valhalla Gaerdner Holten Funeral Home in Belleville.
Burial will follow at Walnut Hill Cemetery in Belleville.
