Wow I cannot believe this happened to such a young man with so many possibilities. I lived in Belleville before relocating to Texas in 1980, and was very good friends with David's parents. I am very sad and very sorry this happened. I didn't even know Debbie had passed until a few months ago which was terrible to hear. I cared for her and Big David too very much. Rose & Donna were so sweet & I appreciated all of them. Blessings to All & I will think of David & Debbie as God's angels now.

Although our hearts are filled with sorrow for the loss of David, we can replace that darkness and sorrow with the comfort of knowing that he is now in the arms of his beloved mother Debbie.

As he was known to his family and friends as "Litte David", he filled everyone's hearts with joy, and put a lot of smiles on everyone's faces. While looking through family gathering photos of days gone by, you could see how his spirit, sparkling eyes, and smile touched everyone around him, in these momemts of our lives, we so love to capture on film. He was a happy kid who knew how to make you smile and laugh. These memories David's father Dave has captured on film of his son, reminds us all the love and joy David brought into our lives.

I can recall the first time I met Little David. Sandy and I were dating and we watched him one evening. From the moment Debbie and Dave left for a night out he began crying and would not stop until we bribed him with a drive to Baskin Robbins for an ice cream cone. It wasn't until we handed him the cone in the store that the crying stopped. I guess he just wanted to make sure he got that treat we promised him. 

I can also remember the boating trips down to Lake Kinkaid with David, his grandfather Tom, and my kids Erik and Kylie. Erik and Kylie always looked up to David and dearly loved and enjoyed his company. David always took the time to teach them what he knew about jumping off those rocks at the lake and where and how to catch fish. At such a young age, he was patient and kind to everyone. Over the years he would make many trips to the Lake with Julie, Rex, Ryan, and his baby sister Lauren. He idolized his older cousins and loved to teach Lauren the ropes at the lake. 

When David was blessed with a sister, Lauren, you could see the bond of love and friendship between them. David was so proud to have Lauren as his little sister. You could see this in his expressions when he held her for the first time, a light in his soul that will never go out. I can remember so many Christmas moring family get-togethers with David and Lauren. Lauren was always at his side and David at hers, sharing in the excitement of Christmas moring. This bond will last an eternity. 

Let it be said, to all family and friends of David Jeremy Hurst, stay strong for one another and keep that light burning bright in your hearts with the compassion and wonderful memories you all have that David brought to us all for so many years. 

David, you will be dearly missed but never forgotten. You were a good person in life and had a good heart.

my dear freind david, you was layed to your final resting place.my prayers go out to your family and freinds. i miss you david, i know your in a beautifull and better place and that helps to ease my sadness of losing a wonderfull freind who had a heart of gold. i am am gratefull and honored to have known you, your memory will forever live on in our hearts. tonight i will place a candle at your memorail site for the last time,i will continue your memorail each year on the day the lord came and took you to be an angel.

David was one in a million, he had a grand personality, a giant smile, and always seemed to just roll with the punches. We went to high school together, played football and hung out quite abit back then. Ive not heard from him in years but was taken back with this tragic news. Rest in peace david, you were a very nice man.

I'm very sorry to hear of the loss of David Hurst Jr. My condolences to David Sr and to the Hurst family. I still remember seeing David Jr as a small child running around in pj's. David Sr., I pray that God may bless you and give you peace in your time of sorrow.

I wish to express our sympathy to David's family and frieds.  As his neighbor I unfortunately didn't know him well but I know his presence in the neighborhood will be missed.  We are so sorry for your loss.  David was a nice young man that was taken much too soon.
