She is preceded in death by her parents and husband, Ronald Steen.

Dawn is survived by her son, David Lawrence (wife Marsha Lynn Brandmeyer) Steen of Belleville, Illinois, and grandchildren David Martin Steen, Hayley Marie Steen, and Bryant Lawrence Steen. Brother, Don Lee Marshall, and nephew, Gregory Vincent Marshall.

Dawn held a career as a medical billing clerk. She was an active member of St. Paul’s Church of Christ in Belleville, Illinois. Dawn enjoyed music and played the flute for the St. Paul’s Church and several other organizations.

Visitation will be from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm on Thursday, March 24th, 2022, at Valhalla Gaerdner Holten

Funeral Home, Belleville, Illinois.

Funeral will be at noon on Friday, March 25th, 2022, at Valhalla Gaerdner Holten Funeral Home, Belleville, Illinois, with an additional visitation one hour prior to service.

Burial will follow at Mt. Hope Cemetery in Belleville, Illinois.

Memorials may be made to Hospice of Southern Illinois and St. Paul’s Church of Christ music program.
