Delores "Suzi" Irene Renn

Suzi grew up in Hoopston, IL. She graduated from Southern Illinois University Carbondale with a degree in education. She started her teaching career at Cahokia High School and retired from Grant Illini in Fairview Heights, IL. Later in life, she worked at St. Louis Symphony. She was a member of St. James Church in Millstadt, IL., Millstadt Optimist Club, Delta Kappa Gamma, St. Clair Historical Society, and she was an original member of Belleville East Boosters Club. She enjoyed traveling, boating, reading, and playing games. Mostly, she enjoyed spending time with her family and friends.

Suzi is preceded in death by her parents, Lowell Mitchell and Loretta Mitchell (nee Reynolds) and brother, Jay Mitchell.

Suzi married Dean Renn on December 27, 1970 in Belleville, IL. and he survives. She is also survived by daughters, Jennifer (Michael) Skulski of Indianapolis, IN. and Stephanie (Frank) Iskra of Normal, IL.; stepsons, Ted Renn of Equality, IL. and Bob (Vicki) Renn of Madisonville, KY.; adored grandchildren, Caroline, Luke, Zeke, Matt, Lauren, Ryan, and Kate; step grandchildren, Sarah and Karah; and sister Patti Walsh of Houston, TX.

Funeral: Memorial Mass will be held at 10 a.m., Friday, January 4, 2019 at St. James Catholic Church, 405 West Madison, Millstadt, IL 62260 . Interment will follow at Valhalla Gardens of Memory, 3412 Frank Scott Parkway, Belleville, Illinois 62223.
