She was born on December 24, 1941 in China, the daughter of the late Pu Yuan Zhao and Mei Shang Li.
Dieling married Yao Han Zhao in 1962 in China. He survives.
Dieling was an amazing woman, whose favorite activity was loving and taking care of her family. She enjoyed cooking food, babysitting her grandchildren, and having fun with them. Her greatest accomplishments were raising her family and endlessly supporting them in all their endeavors. She helped raise her siblings, children, and grandchildren and ensured that they were all able to get a good education. She was always willing to help anyone who wanted it and was kind, gentle, and patient with everyone around her. Additionally, she enjoyed listening to Chinese plays and going to the casino.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by three daughters Shufang Zhao (Steve Tran), Qina Zhao (Shao Deng), Li Hua Zhao; one son Jian Zhao (Kristy Zhang); twelve grandchildren Jonathan Tran, Stephanie Zhao, Alan Tran, Suzana Deng, Emily Deng, Jennifer Dihenia, Justin Dihenia, Ethan Dihenia, Maya Dihenia, Bernice Zhao, Chelsea Zhao and Allison Zhao; one sister Diefang; several nieces, nephews and cousins who will miss her dearly.
She was preceded in death by her parents, 2 brothers and a sister.
Visitation will be held from 9 am until funeral service at 10:30 am on Sunday December 16, 2018 at Valhalla-Gaerdner-Holten Funeral Home in Belleville, IL.
Burial will follow at Valhalla Gardens of Memory in Belleville, IL.
