

Donald Edward Cooper, 65, born January 15, 1948 in E. St. Louis, Illinois passed away peacefully on Sunday, April 21, 2013 at his residence surrounded by his friends and family. Don retired from the St. Clair County Sheriff’s Department and was a proud member of the Blue Knights Motorcycle Law Enforcement Club, Belleville/Swansea Moose Lodge #1221 where he was a past governor, American Legion Post 2910, and the Belleville/Swansea Moose Riders.
Mr. Cooper was preceded in death by his parents, Virgil and Verna (nee Hodge) Cooper; his first wife, Mary Ann (nee Ragsdale) Cooper; and a brother in infancy.
Surviving are his wife, Kim (nee Blim) of Millstadt; stepson, Ryan (April) Greenlee; granddaughter, Madison March Greenlee; brothers, Virgil (Sandra), Randy (Terry), Michael (Renee), and Tommy; in-laws, Jeri (Bill) Hohrein, Rebecca (Alan) Hollinshead, Heidi (Jeff) Dodd; and several nieces and nephews.
