Donald Walter Olson

Donald was a member of the Moose Lodge, Swansea, Illinois; he loved camping, fishing and traveling. Served in the United States Army. The family wish to extend heartfelt thank you to the Hospice of Southern Illinois.

Donald is preceded in death by his parents, Walter and Inger, nee Seversen Olson;

Surviving are his loving wife of 60 years who were married on February 24, 1951 Gloria E. Olson, nee Stevens; children, Michael (Pamela) Olson of Brownsville, Texas, Debora (James) Berkel of Kansas City, Missouri, Kimberly (Jack) Holshouser of O’Fallon, Illinois and Dawn (Randy) Pierce of St. Libory, Illinois; grandchildren, Scott (Nicole) Olson, Matthew (Angie) Olson, Jeremy Sommers Leslie, Joshua (Tia) Sommers, Christopher Holshouser, Brian (Jennifer) Holshouser, Jason Pierce and Ashley (Marty) Zimmer; 8 great grand children; sisters, Evelyn Bozue and Marjorie Byers both of Gardner, Illinois.

Funeral Service; services will be held on Tuesday, April 26, 2011 at 10:30 AM at the funeral home

Interment will be held in Valhalla Gardens of Memory, Belleville, Illinois
