

In the 1930’s Doris sang in a band at the Casaloma Ballroom with her sister June. In the 1940’s she was a Deputy Sheriff for St. Clair County. She later married and became a loving mother and homemaker. Her hobbies included; bingo and spending time with her family and enjoyed collecting jewelry.
Doris is preceded in death by her husband, Roy Brunsmann, son, Eric Brunsmann; her parents, George Gruenewald and Mary, nee Feeney, Gruenewald; and sister, June Bogard
Surviving is her loving daughter, Cathy (John) Yates of Belleville, Illinois; grandchildren, Katie (Scott) Smith, Belleville, Illinois, Luke Brunsmann, Belleville, Illinois, Amy (Jim) Snodgrass, Belleville, Illinois, Erin (Stephen) Mitchell, St. Louis, MO; step-grandchildren, Travis (Andrea) Yates, Belleville, Illinois, Tyler (Jessica) Yates, Belleville, Illinois Cassie (Alan) Nix, Arkansas; great-grandchildren, Lily, Brooke, Zoey, Noah, Jackson, Leeds; special niece, Susan (Nick) Stavros; nephew, Bill (Jean)McDonald, and special friend, Kathy “Faf” Brunsmann, Belleville, Illinois

Funeral Service: will be held at 10:00 AM at the funeral home on Thursday, April 12, 2012 with the Reverend Beverly Wilkes Null officiating.
Interment will be held in the Valhalla Gardens of Memory.
