
Dorothy “Dot” Jasiewicz (nee Wisniewski), 84, born December 27, 1928 in St. Louis, MO fortified with the sacrament of Holy Mother Church passed away on Wednesday, May 1, 2013 at Cedarhurst Assisted Living in Shiloh, IL surrounded by her loving family. Dot was a member of St. Henry’s Catholic Church and a charter member of St. Augustine Church in Belleville. Dot was a proud church volunteer, room mother, and cafeteria worker. She was an avid reader, gifted seamstress, and world traveler being quite the “Anglophile” with her love and knowledge of England. Dot was an amazing cook, beloved wife, mother, and doting grandmother who will be greatly missed.
Mrs. Jasiewicz was preceded in death by her parents, Stanislaus and Anna (nee Jarzembowski); her loving husband of 59 years, Edward F. Jasiewicz; and her siblings, Leonard Jasiewicz and Lorraine (George) Norwood.
She is survived by her sons, Mike (Christine) of Laguna Niguel, CA, John (Susan) Jasiewicz of Swansea, and Richard (Megan) Jasiewicz of Laguna Niguel, CA; daughters, Carol (Bill) Rengel of Freeburg, Susan Marie (Ray) Mosman of Smithton, and Kathy (Jay) Calhoun of Smithton; grandchildren, Michael W. Rengel, Julie N.R. Collins (Dr. James Collins III), Alex (Amy Krieg) Mosman, Shannon Mosman, Kelly Calhoun, Sam Jasiewicz, and Bree and Ian Jasiewicz; and great grandchild, Nora Reid Collins.
