Edward Rynski

Edward proudly served his country in the United States Air Force. He was a lifetime member of the Belleville American Legion Post 1255 and the Belleville/Swansea Moose Lodge 1221. He worked as a troubleshooter for Union Electric, now Ameren Missouri for over 38 years. He enjoyed playing slots and scratch offs. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and great grandfather, who will truly be missed by all who knew him.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Louis and Theresa, nee Kabat, Rynski; his father and mother-in-law, Leo and Martha Sherman; brothers, Donald and Robert Rynski; and a sister, Dorothy Dalman.

Surviving are his loving wife of 61 years, Virginia M. Rynski, nee Sherman, of Belleville, Illinois; his children, Debbie (Bryan) Williams, of Mt. Vernon, Indiana, Donna (Dennis) Elbe, of Mascoutah, Illinois, Steve Rynski, of Woodbridge, Virginia, Kevin Rynski, of Swansea, Illinois, Carol (Dan) Oliver, of Waterloo, Illinois, and Mary Self, of St. Louis, Missouri; his grandchildren, Jennifer (Brian) Blair, Brad (Stephanie) Williams, Jason (Mickey) Elbe, Matt (Katy) Elbe, Scott (Carie) Elbe, Tobey Oliver, Jeremy Oliver, Krista Oliver, Samantha Oliver, Morgan Self, Colin Self, Abbi Self, and Amanda Self; great grandchildren, Carson, Mason, Easton, Jacob, Owen, Noah, Jackson, Keaton, Leighton, and Landry; and many other relatives and friends.

Funeral: A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10 a.m., Wednesday, April 25, 2018 at Our Lady Queen of Peace, Belleville, Illinois with Father Matthew Elie officiating. Interment will follow in Lake View Memorial Gardens, Fairview Heights, Illinois.
