Eileen was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Belleville. She was also an active member of the Quilters Group through the church. Mrs. Junge loved to make ceramics and she sold the Christmas ornaments she made at Bel-Air Bowl for 28 years. One of her greatest joys in life was being a grandmother and great-grandmother.
She was preceded in death by her loving husband Melvin H. Junge whom she married on June 28, 1947; her parents, Emory and Anna, nee Peyrott, Mudd; 3 brothers, Clyde Mudd, Russell Mudd, and Vernon Mudd; a sister, Wilmarth Harris; and 3 brothers-in-law, Arlin Junge, Ralph Junge, and Harry Junge.
Eileen is survived by her daughter, Brenda M. (Dale) Sondag of Belleville, Ill; 3 grandsons, Trevor (Laura) Sondag, Tyler (Kasey) Sondag, and Trent Sondag; 3 great-grandchildren, Henry Sondag, Ivan Sondag, and William Sondag; 2 brothers, Elmer (Angie) Mudd, Charles (Betty) Mudd; a sister, Ida Mae (Robert) Lauber; and 3 sisters-in-law, Dorothy Junge, Evelyn Junge and Nonie Junge.

Funeral: A Mass of Christian burial will be at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, Nov. 5, 2016 at St. Mary’s Catholic Church with Fr. Christopher Anyanwu officiating. Interment will follow In Lake View Memorial Gardens, Fairview Heights, Ill.
