Ethel "Tootsie" D Brown

Tootsie loved to sew and make quilts. Another one of her favorite things to do was recording music from the radio. She was one of 16 children, of which 8 were boys and 8 were girls.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Pat, whom she married on Oct. 4, 1952; a son, Jerry Brown; a daughter, Patsy Brown; and her parents, Fred and Haddie, nee Smithy, Broom

Mrs. Brown is survived by two sons, Eddie Brown of Fairmont City, Ill. and Charles (Vera) Brown of Fairmont City, Ill.; three grandchildren, Jerry (Aletha) Brown, Jr., Amanda (Skip) Miller, and Mary (Ryan) Wania; 7 great-grandchildren; many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Visitation: Friends may call on Wed., Aug. 19, 2015 from 4 to 8 pm at Valhalla Gaerdner Holten Funeral Home, 3412 Frank Scott Parkway West, Belleville, Ill. 62223.

Funeral: Services will be held on Thurs., Aug. 20, 2015 at 11:00 am at the funeral home.

Interment will follow at Lake View Memorial Gardens, Fairview Heights, Ill.
