

Floyd was born October 1, 1964 in St. Louis, MO to Fred Willis and Emma Maxine (Miller) Hendrix. He married Kris C. Barnhart on September 20, 1986; she survives and resides in Murrayville, IL.
Also surviving are his sons, Kyle (Nicole) Hendrix of Belleville, IL, Michael Hendrix of Murrayville, IL, and Matthew (Rachel) Hendrix of Dupo, IL; grandchildren, Raelynn Vannier, Claudia Hendrix and Josef Hendrix; bonus grandchildren, Piper, Mason, Celtin, and Ethan; and siblings, Fred (JoAnn) Hendrix of Granite City, IL and Roger Hendrix of Thebes, IL; and many beloved nieces, nephews and cousins.
Floyd was preceded in death by his parents; daughter, Casey Vannier; grandchildren, Teason James and Andrew James; and two brothers, Danny Hendrix and Donald Hendrix.
Floyd was born and raised in Dupo, IL. He earned his Bachelor’s degree in Theology from Liberty University; he was a respected and loved pastor all throughout the state, sharing his love for the Lord with many. He was a skilled mechanic and always enjoyed working on cars. He could often be found on his fishing boat, enjoying the peacefulness that it brought. He was a talented guitarist, enjoying both gospel and bluegrass music. Above all else, he loved his family and cherished the times when they were together. His grandchildren brought him endless joy. Floyd will truly be missed by all who knew and loved him, but the family finds peace in knowing he is with his Lord.
A visitation for Floyd will be held on Sunday, February 9, 2025 from 4:00 P.M.- 8:00 P.M. at Valhalla Gaerdner Holten Funeral Home in Belleville, IL.
A funeral service will be held Monday, February 10, 2025 at 10:00 A.M. at the funeral home. Pastor Jeff Downard will officiate. Final interment will follow at Valhalla Gardens of Memory in Belleville, IL.
