Frank Lee Bricel Sr.

Frank was born January 13, 1942 in Cleveland, OH to Frank Anthony and Doris Rae (Raquet) Bricel. He married Pong Choe who he married on June 18, 1968; she preceded him in death on September 30, 2011.

He was also preceded in death by his parents; two aunts, Frances Bricel and Jo Ann Bricel and his uncle, Stanley Bricel.

Frank is survived by his two children, Frank L. (Grace) Bricel Jr. of Phoenix, AZ and Cathy (Joe) Moreno of Belleville, IL; grandchildren, Luke and Lily Bricel and Amanda, Ashley and Joseph Moreno; and seven great-grandchildren, Jude, Jackson, Ellie, Theo, Luca, Alina and Felix.

Frank proudly served his country in the United States Air Force where he worked and retired as personnel systems manager at Scott Air Force Base. Frank was a devoted husband to Pong and a loving father and grandpa to his beloved children and grandchildren. He will truly be missed.

A visitation for Frank will be held on Wednesday, January 15, 2025 from 11:00 A.M.- 1:00 P.M. at Valhalla-Gaerdner-Holten Funeral Home in Belleville, IL.

A funeral service will be held on following the visitation, at 1:00 P.M. at the funeral home. Final interment will take place at Mount Calvary Cemetery in Shiloh, IL.

Memorial donations may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
