Henry "Bobo" Hue Monroe Jr.

Bobo was born June 13, 1948 in East St. Louis, IL to Henry Hue Sr. and Anna Marie (Eiskant) Monroe. He married Nora Komoromi on June 7, 1975 in Belleville, IL.

Together, they had eleven children, Debby Williams, Henry Monroe, Krissy Gibson, Gerri Ferrell, Bobby Monroe, Lisa Monroe, Kelly Monroe, Sandi Monroe, Michael Monroe and Vikki Monroe; 29 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren; siblings, Mary Hill, Judy Crouch, Pam Hill, Sharon Castrogiovanni, Gary Monroe, Barry Monroe and Jimmy Monroe; and his beloved dog, Mia Mia.

Bobo was preceded in death by his son, Dale Monroe; grandchildren, Tristan Rives and Brittany Monroe; brothers, Norman and Rodney Monroe; brothers-in-law, Stephen Hill and Danny Hill; and his best friend, Charlie Hanes.

Bobo proudly served his country in the United States Army as a CNA. He worked and retired as the manager at McDonald’s in Freeburg, IL. He enjoyed fishing, BBQing, pitching horseshoes, throwing washers, playing dice and cards and just simply sitting on the porch listening to music. Bobo never met a stranger and loved being around his dear friends and family. He will truly be missed by all who knew and loved him.

Cremation rites will be accorded under the direction of Valhalla Gaerdner Holten Funeral Home, Belleville, IL.
