“I am Going” by Jamie Curtis
I am going, I am gone.
But I won’t travel far from home.
The road’s too long to go that way.
Let’s stop and rest for the day.
I am going, I am gone.
I don’t quite know what went wrong.
The valley’s too low. The mountain too high.
Too much time is passing by.
I am going, I am gone.
Many days the sun has shone.
I need to turn around today,
and just head back the other way.
I am going, I am gone.
I am heading right back home.
I got mixed up and turned around,
but home is where the love is found.
She will be cremated and laid to rest in Arcadia Valley Cemetery in Ironton, MO after a private family service, at a later date. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to a charity that brings joy to the lives of children.
