Janet Agnes White of Shiloh, Ill. , born July 26, 1933, in Lively Grove, Ill., passed away on Saturday, June 5, 2021, to be with her beloved husband Richard “Dick” White, who proceeded her in death on August 6, 2018.
Janet married Dick, her soulmate and love of her life for more than 70 years, on December 27, 1952. She was a member of Corpus Christi Catholic Church in Shiloh for many years and previously a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Belleville, where she and Dick raised their family of five children.
She is preceded in death by her husband Dick, her parents Leo and Loretta Schoenherr (nee Behrmann), and brother Jerry Schoenherr. Those left to remember and cherish Janet are her five children, Phyllis (Scott) Luster, Anne (Jack) Gonzales, John Robert “Bob” (Lisa) White, Lisa (Joe) Farnen, and Jennifer (Mark) Andree; grandchildren Rhys and Christy Luster, Dustin (Melissa), Cody (Colleen) and Josef Gonzales, Jakob “Jake”, Jamie and Tommy White, Jessica Reeves, Kristin (Adam) Kalous, Jeanine (Doug) Engle, Meghan (Keith) Evans, and Emily Andree; great-grandchildren Jay and Lucia Gonzales, Addison and Palmer Kalous, Joseph “JD” and Henrik Engle, and Maddex Evans; sister Mary Beth (Bill) Whitehead; and many nieces, nephews, and great-nieces and nephews.
Visitation and a funeral mass celebrating Janet’s life will be at Corpus Christi Catholic Church, 206 Rasp Street, Shiloh, Ill. 62269, on Wednesday, June 16, 2021. Visitation will be 9:00 to 11:00 AM, immediately followed by mass. Masks are required. Following mass, a funeral procession will escort Janet to her final resting place next to Dick at St. Anthony’s Parish Cemetery, 6101 St. Anthony Road, Oakdale, Ill. 62268.
