Jean obtained her Associate of Arts degree from Lindenwood College, St. Charles, MO. She spent a lifetime of service to others--her church, numerous military bases across the globe, and the Girl Scouts of America. As a young girl, she loved to dance. Later in life, and for several decades, she was an avid St. Louis Cardinals fan. Her other true passion was travelling, as she and her husband visited over 100 countries and cruised across the world. She dearly loved her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, spending as much time as possible with them.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Melvin R. Hodge and Theresa F. (nee Gaerdner) Hodge; her beloved husband of 69 years, Kenneth L. Vaughn; two daughters, Victoria DeAntoni and Leslie Vaughn-Smith; and one grandson, Marcus DeAntoni.
Surviving to cherish her memory are two sons, Kenneth (Sabine) Vaughn and Robert (Cathy) Vaughn; grandchildren, Theresa DeAntoni, Stewart (Amanda) Smith, Kirsten (Vittorio) Vaughn-DiLella, Kristopher (Whitney) Vaughn, Keelan Vaughn, Karson Vaughn, Tyler (Ashley) Vaughn, Jordan (Eva) Vaughn; and seven great-grandchildren.
