Jeanette Elizabeth Nickel

Jeanette Elizabeth Nickel (nee Moyer), 87, of Belleville, IL passed away peacefully on Sunday, August 3, 2025. She is preceded in death by her parents, Virl and Jean Moyer and her husband of 60 years, Jay Nickel.

Jeanette is survived by her children, Kai Nickel of Fenton, MO and Kelli (Scot) Campbell of Damiansville, IL; grandchildren, Tyler Nickel, CJ Nickel (Maddie), and Cole Nickel, Morgan (Adam) Zeveski, and Evan Campbell (MacKenzie); and great grandchild, Callan Zeveski; and brother, Gary (Betty) Moyer.

Jeanette and Jay enjoyed a lifetime of love and great times. They loved spending time with family and friends. Jeanette was a stylish lady who worked as a beautician in her home. She was always dressed well and enjoyed pretty jewelry. Jeanette played bridge and enjoyed bowling with friends and never wanted to miss a good time. She and Jay enjoyed many years visiting St. Petersburg Beach, FL after retiring. Her big smile and sass will be missed by everyone who knew her.

In accordance with Jeanette’s wishes, she will be cremated with no public services. The family would like to extend their sincere thank you to the staff at St. Paul’s Nursing Home in Belleville for the loving care provided to Jeanette during her time there.
