

Joseph Beliveau, 80, of Smithton passed away on August 29, 2014 due to an illness. He was born on January 24, 1934 in Manchester, NH. Mr. Beliveau graduated from Exeter High School and joined the United States Air Force where he began a 27 year career. After retiring from the USAF, he began a 17 year career with the United States Postal Service. In June of 1960, Joe married Elizabeth Dunlop and during their 54 year marriage had four children.
Joe is survived by his devoted wife, Elizabeth (nee Dunlop) Beliveau; his children, Sandra (Michael) Obst, Mary Beishir, Donna (Neal) Orange, and Joe (Neeley) Beliveau; grandchildren, Stacey (Scott) Paule, Leslie (Dan) Prescott, Katie Obst, Danielle (Nick) Joest, Lauren Beishir, Bradley Beishir, Jimmy (Babs) Orange, Justin Orange, Josh Beliveau, Bryce Beliveau, Camden Beliveau, Chris Curtis, Cal Beliveau, and Walker Beliveau; great grandchildren, Jacob, Barrett, and Jaxton Paule and Dylan and Rhys Prescott; and siblings, Lorraine (Van) Van Hooijdonk, Edward Beliveau, and Irene Curran.

Visitation: Friends may call on Tuesday, September 2, 2014 from 4-8 pm at LAKEVIEW FUNERAL HOME, 5000 N Illinois, Fairview Heights, IL 62208 or at 9 am on Wednesday, September 3 at Lake View Funeral Home. Funeral service will be held on Wednesday at 10 am with Rev Ed Weston officiating. Interment will follow at Smithton-Franklin Cemetery in Smithton, IL.
