He is preceded in death by his parents, Rudolph and Aurelia (Scheibel) Langlitz and his sister, Dolores (Langlitz) Jobe.
Joseph is survived by his wife, Marie (Bruns) Langlitz whom he married July 1, 1950, children, Barbara A. (Ray) Baron, Thomas J. (Peggy) Langlitz, and Douglas A. Langlitz, 6 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.
Joseph was a retired owner of Langlitz Auto-Body. He was an athlete in his younger years, an avid body-builder and an excellent baseball player. He was best known as a bowler and then a beloved coach for Belleville West bowling teams until the age of 92. He shared his mother’s exceptional artistic talent.
Per Joseph’s wishes, Rites of Cremation have been accorded.
Memorial Service will be at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, June 4th, 2021 at St. Augustine Catholic Church, Belleville, Illinois.
Interment will follow at Valhalla Gardens of Memory, Belleville, Illinois.
