Juanita Joyce Robinson

Juanita “Joyce” was born June 14, 1939 at St. Elizabeth Hospital, Belleville, IL to John and Bernice (Czarnecki) Evans.

She married Marcus Junior Robinson Sr. on May 10, 1958 at St. Paul United Church of Christ in Belleville, IL. He preceded her in death on March 29, 2024.

She resided in Freeburg, IL until retiring and moving to Geneva, Florida.

In Florida, her spouse of 65 years passed away, which brought her back to Illinois to be near family. This move helped create memories with Juanita that her family will cherish forever.

She is survived by her children, Robin (Del) Hagen of New Baden, IL, Marcus Robinson of Belleville, IL, Jolla (Melinda) Robinson of Conway, AR, and Dawn (Gerald) Reuter of Freeburg, IL; grandchildren, Robin (David) Boring of New Baden, IL, Delmer (Penney) Hagen of New Memphis, IL, Marcus (Crystal) Robinson of Bethalto, IL, Amanda Robinson of Belleville, IL, Adrienne Robinson of Bentonville, AR, Joshua Robinson of Conway, AR, Jacob Robinson of Conway, AR, Samantha Reuter of Silverthorne, CO, Luke Reuter of Freeburg, IL and Benjamin Reuter of Freeburg, IL; 15 great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; and one sister, Jolene Erlinger of Collinsville, IL.

Juanita was preceded in death by her parents, John and Bernice Evans; brothers, John Evans and Jolla Evans and sister, Janice Monroe.

Juanita retired from the Shrine of Our Lady of the Snows after 20 years of dedicated service as the night manager in the mail room.

She enjoyed gardening, family, fishing trips, cooking and baking for her family. She also loved to paint pictures and make holiday crafts, which will be shared with generations to come. She and Marcus loved the Florida sunshine and the years they spent there together. She will truly be missed by all who knew and loved her.

In accordance to her wishes, no formal service will be held. Final interment will be held privately at Valhalla Gardens of Memory, Belleville, IL.

A Celebration of Life gathering for both Juanita and Marcus will be held on Saturday, November 29, 2025 from 1:00 P.M.- 4:00 P.M. at Eckert’s Country Restaurant, 951 S Green Mount Road, Belleville, IL, 62220.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to a charity that was special to Juanita’s heart, including: Shriners Hospital in St. Louis, MO, St. Judes Children’s Research Hospital, or Trinity Services: Helping People With Disabilities Flourish.
