Karen was born on June 26, 1945, in Royalton, IL to Henry Jr., and Dorris (Spiller) Kinsman. She married James Henry Krener Jr., on April 2, 1993, in St. Clair County. Together, they shared nearly 30 years together before James’ passing in 2022.
Karen is survived by her son, Scott Stalker of Arboles, CO; stepson, James III (Katie) Krener of Smithton, IL; brother, Henry “Michael” Kinsman of Highland, IL; granddaughter, Hannah Krener, several nieces and nephews and her rescue dog and best friend, Harper.
She is preceded in death by her husband and brother, James Kinsman.
Karen retired from Energizer, where she worked in marketing of private label sales. She often visited the Belleville Health and Sports Center, where she participated in many classes, played ping pong and pickleball, and built many friendships over the years.
The family has entrusted the Valhalla-Gaerdner-Holten Funeral Home with Cremation rites.
