Kathleen Marie Weichert

Kathleen M. Weichert 65, of Belleville, Illinois, passed away on Tuesday, November 7th, 2023. She was born to Betty (Schilling) Simmonds and William Weichert, Sr. on October 10th, 1958, in Belleville, Illinois.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Betty (Schilling) Simmonds and William Weichert Sr., and her stepfather Ronald C. Simmonds.

Kathy is survived by her brother: William (Yulieth) Weichert Antonio, TX; Stepbrother Randy (Michelle) Simmonds of Union, KY, and Stepbrother Ronald (Carla) Simmonds Jr of Henderson, KY. She is the proud aunt of four nephews and two nieces.

Kathy was a dog lover through and through. She was a first-class breeder of championship beagles who made an indelible mark on the professional dog breeding community. Kathy’s dogs have won numerous championships around the world. Including, Uno, winner of Best in Show at the 2008 Westminster Kennel Club Dog Show. Her dogs were her children and she cared for them with the same unconditional love as a parent. She will be deeply missed by her surviving family and friends. We find solace in the fact that she is sitting on a porch in heaven next to her best friend (mom) and favorite hound (Uno) drinking a fountain coke (with lots of ice), and smoking a Kool cigarette.

Per Kathy’s wishes, cremation will be accorded with all services being private and inurned at Valhalla Gardens of Memory with her parents.
